Welcome to another edition of Coupon Corner! It's October, and it is breast cancer awareness month. Every year, many companies that make your favorite products partner with various breast cancer organizations and make large donations.
You can help simply by purchasing these products. This time of year, companies that partner with breast cancer organizations flood the internet and newspapers with coupons for their products helping raise awareness for the cause while helping you save money. For example, in last Sunday’s paper, you’ll find Proctor & Gamble’s BrandSaver coupons. P&G will donate 2 cents to the National Breast Cancer Foundation for each coupon that is redeemed. Although it may not seem like a lot, they sell a lot of Bounty and Tide! Other P&G brands include Pampers, Cascade, Dawn, Pantene, Ivory, Crest, Downy, Duracell, Febreze, Cover Girl, Always, Tampax, Bounce, Charmin and so many more. If everyone redeemed just one coupon for a P&G product this month, an incredible amount of money would be raised. The other coupon inserts participating are SmartSource and RedPlum, also available in your Sunday paper. So many companies do their part, including Dannon, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Yoplait, Purina, Egg-Lands Best, General Mills products and dozens more.
All you need to do is walk up and down the aisles at your local supermarket and check out all the products that have turned their packaging pink this month. If you can’t find coupons for these products in your Sunday paper, there are so many great coupon web sites out there that you can print them from. Try SmartSource.com, CouponNetwork.com, RedPlum.com or Coupons.com. You can customize coupons with your zip code…then spend just a few minutes clicking and printing, and not only have you saved on your grocery shopping, but you’ll have done some good by supporting breast cancer charities!
