Well hello there! Remember me? I know it’s been a few months, but I’m back and ready to get back into the role of “Intern Ali”.  I’m not gonna lie, I missed this place over the summer – but luckily I got to live vicariously through Spencer. During our weekly Starbucks date, I made sure she kept me up to date with all of the ridiculous and exciting things that were going on in my absence, so it kind of feels like I never left.
I can tell that this semester is going to be even better than the last (if that’s even possible), although I am missin’ my Spring interns, I’m super excited to be interning with my girls Spencer and Danielle (who you may also remember from the Spring/Summer) and our two new interns, Emily and Nicole!
Seeing as I’ve been around the block already (in terms of being a Morning Show intern – get your minds out of the gutter), I am a lot more relaxed and confident with my position this time around. Because of that, I also feel a lot more comfortable with the other members of the morning show. For example, Garrett, who used to greet me with a simple nod in the morning, now excitedly greets me with a “Good Morning!” when I come in. Greg T, who barely knew my name last semester, now not only knows my name, but uses it every chance he gets…it’s the little things, right?
Besides the fact that we are all finally best friends (or so I pretend), I’m also super excited to be interning during Jingleball! Seeing as I have been listening to the show since I was a pre-teen, I can’t wait to see what goes into the production of such a huge show! Not to mention the line up for this year is literally NUTS…it is basically my entire iTunes library all performing, live in one place.
And speaking of Jingleball, I recently got to hang out with The Wanted, who are one of the performers this year (and by hang out, I mean I came in on my day off and watched them eat cake and open gifts) and it was great. Besides the fact that I’ve been a fan of them since the first day of my internship last semester, when I watched them perform live downstairs at the IHeartRadio theater, they are super fun and down to earth. This is my second time being there with them and I must say, they are probably the most fun out of all of the guests I’ve met – not to mention the best looking…hey, have you seen them? P.S. for all who are wondering – Jay is my favorite, and Siva is really that attractive. Not to mention their accents are to die for.
