My first blog post as I start my internship with Elvis Duran Morning Show! I’m unbelievably excited to be in New York this summer. The name is Jason Miller, with an “iller” after the “M”. I’m a senior at Drake University from Des Moines, IA studying Electronic Media: Radio / TV Production with a concentration in Leadership. Not much going on in Iowa but corn…Originally from Duluth MN, I think it was rated the 9thcoldest city in America this year…BURRRR! (#Gucci)
I have the AMAZING opportunity to intern this summer for Elvis Duran Morning Show! I am one of the video interns as well as a production intern. I’m working with a bunch of people, which is awesome for me, because I get to see all the different roles everyone plays and how everyone contributes to the show.
So far my experiences consist of filming and editing some videos with Anthony (the show's Video Guru), learning all the seriously impressive production Coaster Boy Josh does each morning, and gaining valuable knowledge from a veteran of the radio biz, Ron Scalzo (Mr. Miyagi).
Just had my first couple of days at work and I can honestly say I am in love with it! The atmosphere of the show is amazing, probably because everyone here has such a hilarious, fun, and unique personality. There is so much passion everyday (even when it’s a hung-over Friday), and it’s amazing to have the chance to share my passion with everyone!
I’ll keep you posted on what’s going on and how everything is going!
