So...you love telling the world what you're up to in 140 characters or less -- why not save some cash while doing it? Have a Twitter account? Have an American Express Card? Both of them are free (well, the Amex Blue card is), and you can use them together to save money! American Express has a new program that syncs your Amex Card to your Twitter account, here. Then check out the current deals on the Amex Twitter page and see what you are interested in. Once your card is synced to your Twitter account, simply Tweet the hashtag posted on their Twitter page for the discount you wish to receive. For example, last week I went to Cheesecake Factory. All I had to do is send out this Tweet:



ScottyB @ZscottyB "Heading over to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Gonna save $10 with American Express! #AmexCheesecake"


I then paid for that dinner with my synced Amex Card and received a $10 statement credit a few days later! I also got $5 at McDonald's and $20 at Whole Foods! The deals are always changing, so check back often. As I sit here, there is a deal to get $50 back on a $100 Ticketmaster purchase. 50% back, just for Tweeting!
